McKesson Sterile Adhesive Antibacterial Foam Dressing - 4" x 4"

McKesson's hydrophilic foam dressing with PHMB is a sterile wound dressing that provides a moist wound healing environment. This absorbent dressing is designed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. McKesson's hydrophilic foam dressing is semi-occlusive, allowing the exchange of gases such as oxygen and water vapor. The dressing is laminated to pink, low friction, waterproof polyurethane film which provides a bacterial barrier to the wound. The wound contact layer side of the dressing has a clear perforated film which protects the wound bed from adhering to the dressing. The perforations in the wound contact layer allow the uptake of exudate.

• In-vitro testing demonstrated dressings to be effective against the following three gram-positive bacteria, three gram-negative bacteria, and two yeast challenge organisms within the dressing: MRSA, MRSE, VRE, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, and Rhodotorula mucilaginosa
• Superior aeration provided semi-occlusive design allows the exchange of gases such as oxygen and water vapor
• A transparent, perforated wound contact layer design allows the uptake of exudate and prevents excess fluid from causing maceration to healthy skin
• Indicated for use in the temporary management of post-surgical incisions, pressure sores, venous stasis ulcers, diabetic ulcers, donor sites, abrasions, lacerations, 1st, and 2nd-degree burns, dermatologic disorders, other wounds inflicted by trauma, and as a secondary dressing or cover dressing for packed wounds
