BD Bactec™ Lytic / 10 Anaerobic / F Culture Liquid Blood Culture Media

BD BACTEC Lytic Anaerobic medium is an anaerobic medium designed to increase the detection and recovery of anaerobes. It contains a detergent to lyse both red and white blood cells present in the sample, releasing any intracellular organisms.

• The BD BACTEC vials are ready for use as received and require no reconstitution or dilution
• Store at 2 – 25 ° C in a dry location, out of direct light
• For Use With (Equipment) : Bactec 9240, 9120 and 9050 System
• The principal use is with the BACTEC fluorescent series instruments for the qualitative culture and recovery of anaerobic microorganisms from blood
• Fluorescent series bar-coded blood culture media
• Each vial contains a chemical sensor that can detect increases in CO2 produced by the growth of microorganisms
