McKesson Sterile Absorbent Gelling Fiber Dressing - 2" x 2"

McKesson gelling fiber dressings are sterile, non-woven sheets/ropes composed of carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and a high G (guluronic acid) calcium alginate that includes a reinforcement layer to allow intact removal. McKesson dressings are soft and conformable, highly absorbent, and high gelling. The dressings manage exudates in moderately to heavily exuding wounds and create a favorable environment for effective wound management. When in contact with wound exudates, these highly absorbent dressings form a soft gel which promotes a moist wound environment to assist in the healing process while also helping autolytic debridement

• Indicated for moderately to heavily exuding chronic and acute wounds, infected or at risk of infection, and can act as a hemostat to control minor bleeding in superficial wounds
• It May be used during the healing process on decubitus ulcers (pressure ulcers), venous and arterial leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, graft and donor sites, post-operative surgical wounds, superficial and partial thickness burns, and cavity wounds
